In 1975, Dan and Ron Shimek started a company based on a simple idea: to create a cozy fire at the touch of a button. Their company grew to become its own category in the home products industry: Heat-N-Glo®.
In 2000, the Shimeks moved on with a different idea: to create an outdoor grill that would take the guesswork out of grilling. And that led to the founding of a company with an even broader vision: to make outdoor living match the elegance and comfort found indoors.
The company became The Outdoor Greatroom Company™. And once again, the Shimeks' ideas have grown to become two new categories in the industry. The Cook Number™ Grills, and the Outdoor GreatRoom®.
The ideas may be simple, but the results are widely recognized as some of the most sophisticated products of their kind. And they're redefining the meaning of Outdoor Rooms.
